Student CEO

Buena Vida coffee is seeking a new Student CEO to begin transitioning in March 2016. Marquette University students that are creative, well driven and possess high levels of leadership ability are encouraged to apply. The position revolves heavily around small business management and marketing so applicants with experience in these areas are preferred.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Buena Vida Coffee is responsible for the  overall orientation and direction of the Buena Vida Coffee student program through selection, training and supervision of student team members, projects and company growth strategies. They are responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and other support members to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

More specific responsibilities include:

*Report monthly updates and maintain regular communication with the Entrepreneur Enterprises, Inc. Board of Directors

*Recruit, select and train new student team members each semester to meet the changing needs of the company

*Provide the necessary knowledge and skills to student team members as defined in the job description through training and development initiatives

*Lead weekly all-team meetings to regroup the team members, discuss upcoming projects, goal progress and conduct administrative items

*Oversee general growth and strategy of the company, through strategic thinking and planning

*Maintain company relationships with key partners and supporters, including all relations with Stone Creek Coffee, the primary supplier

*Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance

*Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action

*Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential programs or partnerships

*Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position

*Evaluation of the financial structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals
