The Story of Sister Maria Rosa

Posted by Buena Vida Coffee on

It has almost been 50 years since Sister Maria Rosa took in her first group of orphaned children. Since then she has helped care for over 40,000 Honduran children. Through her dedicated work and with Sociedad Amigos de los Niños, she has developed programs such including 60 homes, an HIV clinic, schools of all levels, a job training center,a  health clinic and b
oys farm. It's amazing that once an orphan herself, she took her vows in Milwaukee, WI only to return back to Honduras and start the orphanage.
We at Buena Vida Coffee are proud to be working with Sister Maria Rosa and giving back to the Sociedad Amigos de los Niños orphanage by providing one meal to one child for every bag of coffee sold. We encourage you to read more about Sister as her story is an inspiration via Honduran Children here
